Many of us have either wanted to explore ceramics, had a class a long time ago in high school or college or have recently become fascinated with clay.  However you have come to this point, the question is: where do you find a fully equipped studio?  Clay is messy and special equipment like potter’s wheels and kilns are expensive.  All Fired Up! offers the perfect solution!  For a modest fee you can come six days a week to use the studio, store work in progress and have your work fired.  You can just walk-in if you know clay basics or, for better value, obtain a membership.  Here’s how it works: 

**Prospective members must complete a Membership Application, sign the Studio Rules form,

and participate in a $15.00 orientation class.**

• Glazing only - $8.00 (includes time and studio glazes)
• Studio time only - $5.00/hr or $15.00/day.  Use of facilities and studio tools (no clay, glazes or firing included)

General Membership  Summer 2010 Special: General Membership is only $65/month for everyone.

[To be a Full Member you must be able to use the studio equipment and create work without help or instruction. Members must have mastered basic clay building/throwing/glazing and correct wedging techniques and understand how the firing process works. For beginners this typically requires a minimum of four classes, (three clay basics, one glaze basics).]

• $75.00 per month (full-time student & Senior rate - $65.00/month)
• Unlimited use of the Open Studio during regular business hours
• Free bisque and glaze firing for regularly sized pieces (5x5x5)**
• Firing Discounts ($0.005/cu in for bisque and $0.015/cu in for glaze) on pieces bigger than 5x5x5
• Use of studio glazes and tools
• Designated shelf and locker space
• 20% off clay, glazes & tools when paid for by cash or check
• Participation in Open Studio pottery sales

Part time Membership: Don't have a lot of time but still want the benefits of membership?

• $40.00 per month
• Unlimited use of the Open Studio during regular business hours
• Free bisque firing for regularly sized pieces (5x5x5)**
• Firing Discounts ($0.005/cu in for bisque and $0.015/cu in for glaze) on pieces bigger than 5x5x5
• Extra charge for using studio glazes ($.025 per cubic inch, instead of $.015 per cu inch with your own glaze)
• Use of studio tools
• Designated 1/2 shelf and locker space
• 20% off clay, glazes & tools with cash/check purchases

Studio Card: Have even less time but still want some of the benefits of membership?

[Studio card holders should only be doing projects within the scope of their ceramic knowledge. In other words, if you would like to create something you have not had experience making before, please take a class with one of our instructors. ]
